Cryptomnesia
Cryptomnesia has been a collaboration between Regan R. MacLeod and Michael S. Charlton since 1988. Crafting raw base lines, phrases of logical poetry, keyboard and guitar, Cryptomnesia is a hybrid of ambient electronica and metal.
Throughout their various musical endeavours they’ve been joined by many talented collaborators. They have released two full length compact discs, ‘Hynorotomachia’ and ‘Masters of Conspiracy’. Additionally, they have released a vinyl ep remix of Minefield’s ‘Deconstruction’ as well as contributing tracks to a wide assortment of radio, label and magazine compilations.
KARL MOHR
Canadian electronic music producer, composer, performer Karl Mohr creates evocative, moody, electronic songs with heavy beats, powerful vocals and dramatic, provocative lyrics. Since 1987, Mohr has been an artist who experiments with the darker sides of electronic music, exploring a vast range of territory. He has been described as an “electro-zombie aficionado”. Wassernixe, released under Karl’s Blue Visions banner a smooth, refreshing chill house release on transparent blue vinyl. Described as house, chillout, ambient good times music, perfect for the floor or the summer vacation. The shifting melancholic tones of the chill house genre interfaces perfectly with the dark ambient world of Karl Mohr. A chance to dance in the sun.
Landscape Body Machine
Landscape Body Machine is meant to represent a musical trinity; Equal parts Ambient (Landscape), Techno (Body), and Industrial (Machine).
Craig J. Huxtable’s solo project Landscape Body Machine, is influenced by many forms of electronic music such as acid techno, ambient, trance, and goa; Landscape Body Machine delivers a wide array of music ranging from moody soundscapes to blitzkrieg dance beats, presenting themes intended to invoke socio-political awareness.
theatre ov idiots
Theatre ov Idiots are a collective of producers, promoters and djs from a wide geographical demographic. Although their core group is comprised of four personnel they are often joined by others with common interests. They are analogue synth enthusiasts but they also utilize modern digital and software audio creation tools. They have released one promo full-length, “So far…So what” and two eps, for promoters and djs
only, entitled “elecentricity” and “off ramp”. Their debut CD, “we will listen”, was released by Interdimensional Industries. Currently they are working on a follow up release, “Step aside flail champion” as well as a vinyl ep release.
